Catherine Chaulet, CMP, Senior Vice President
A highly accomplished executive in the service industry, Catherine Chaulet heads up the Best of Boston team. As a native of Paris, France, Catherine’s meeting- and event-planning experience has international scope. In addition to her events and service expertise, she has extensive experience in sales and operations, which gives her a unique insight into the needs and objectives of our clients. A certified meeting planner, Catherine holds an MBA degree from the Simmons School of Management.
Katherine Boles, Sales Manager
Recently relocated to Boston from California, Katherine Boles gained valuable experience as manager of several prestigious San Diego restaurants. During her time at these establishments she frequently supervised important catered events. Katherine is a graduate of the International Institute of Culinary Arts where she developed her talent for combining creativity with thorough attention to detail.
Jessica Buckle, Account Manager
As a native of Boston, Jessica Buckle is always eager to share her knowledge of the city to maximize our clients’ experiences. She began her hospitality career in the events department at Boston University. Her enthusiasm for addressing every last detail, along with an eagerness to please our clients, makes her a real asset to Best of Boston. Jessica has a degree in psychology from Union College.
Melanie Carlson, Sales Manager
Melanie Carlson has a solid background in event planning. In previous positions as a promotions planner for Comcast Spotlight and Sony Music, Melanie honed her skills as a destination-management expert. To add to her qualifications, she also has planned events for a prominent caterer. Melanie is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts with a degree in communications.
Darlene Johnson, Sales Manager
Darlene Johnson is a veteran of the event-planning industry. Prior to joining Best of Boston, the Massachusetts native combined her love for travel with a career in tourism. Her professional resume includes the planning and management of thousands of major events. Darlene holds a certificate in travel and tourism from the Travel Education Center.
Linda Peters, Senior Proposal Writer
Linda Peters came to Best of Boston with a talent for innovation. She also has a very successful background in hospitality sales and catering management at several prominent east coast locations — including a premium banquet facility in Sarasota, Florida and luxury hotels in Massachusetts. Linda attended Bryant College where she earned a marketing degree.
Carolyn Smith, Director of Client Services
Carolyn Smith’s background makes her the ideal person to serve as our director of client services. During six years in the Lake George area of New York, she was marketing and sales director for a large company that operated cruises, as well as a restaurant and nightclub complex. Carolyn is a graduate of Adelphi University, having earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration as well as a degree in vocal performance.
Liz Turner, Proposal Writer
Coming to Best of Boston from JetBlue Airways, Liz brings a great deal of customer-service and training experience, both of which server our clients well. Her familiarity with the Boston area, where she grew up, helps her optimize the experiences of our clients. Liz graduated with honors from the University of Massachusetts, where she studied sports management and Italian.
